 Explain About Your Personality I am an adventurous, flexible individual who loves a challenge and experiencing new places. I look at even the things which go "wrong" as part of the challenge. Having lived in Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Latin America, and all over the United States, I am in a years-long process of researching to write a book on why different parts of the world modernize more easily than others.

I am a Romance-language enthusiast (I speak Portuguese, Spanish, and French), but I didn't let that stop me from marrying a woman from Korea, which was completely outside of my "comfort zone." I am enthusiastic about coming to Korea to teach as well as to immerse myself in the language and culture as I research how South Korea has managed to become one of the world's greatest success stories of the past century.
